Accomodating the rapid growth in new technologies for the home and business, Integrated Systems offers Structured Wiring for the consumer. Structured Wiring systems can be designed to meet the requirements of the smallest or the largest distribution needs of your telephones, cable television, satellite dish, and local area network (LAN) - all from one distribution point.
Certain wiring standards are necessary in order to provide optimum access to the systems in your home. For example, compare Structured Wiring to Conventional Wiring. Conventional Wiring, as found in most homes, consists of one or two Cat.3 telephone wires routed to the phone locations throughout the home. This is adequate for basic phone service such as voice, fax, or data communication via 56k modem.
Structured Wiring, consisting of standard Cat.5e or Cat.6 wire media, is a more capable wiring conduit having 4 tightly twisted pairs of wire. It accomodates much more sophisticated data, video, and LAN communications in your home.
The industry also has standards for the wiring of cable television and satellite dishes. Integrated Systems follows and 95% of the time exceeds these standards.
Most older homes or business structures have 59u coax cables installed for video systems. The new technology requires higher quality coax for video and cable distribution, for example: RG6 quad high-quality shielded, depending on the video or cable distribution of your choice. The following is an example of components found in a Structured Wiring system:
Distribution Panel - A stand-alone panel containing the necessary distribution components to be a central hub for your phones, cable television, and local area network. In many ways this is like an electrical breaker panel controlling the flow of electricity throughout your home.
High-Performance Cables - All services such as digital cable, satellite dishes, and high-speed internet (and intranet) require high-performance cables. Integrated Systems installs recommend wiring for these options. We will install the necessary cables to meet today's and the future technologies. The completed installations provide high speed access, better quality pictures, and reduce interference and cross-talk on data and phone lines.
Multi-Use Outlets - are used to provide the services available through Structured Wiring on a room-by-room basis. Each outlet can be individually configured to accept phone, cable television, internet web access, local network access and satellite dish distribution in any combination. Our customers can choose the services available to each room or area. For example: an outlet in one room may be configured to phones and network only, while another room may have cable, phone, and network service. Multi-use outlets allow complete flexibility for satisfying home and office information needs.
